At an Aug. 10 award ceremony at the Santa Ana Star Casino Events Center, DreamSpring was celebrated for its role as a nonprofit microlender with a profound commitment to its core values: Passion, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Integrity, Excellence, and Accountability. These values, deeply embedded in the organization's culture, contribute to a respectful and empowering environment that uplifts employees and encourages professional growth.

Standing out among a competitive pool of more than 100 entries, DreamSpring emerged as one of the select 34 honorees for 2023, securing a spot in the top 10 Best Places to Work among medium-sized companies. The award categories encompass Small (10 – 24 New Mexico-based employees), Medium (25 – 49 New Mexico-based employees), Large (50 – 199 New Mexico-based employees), and X-Large (200 or more New Mexico-based employees) companies.

The Best Places to Work awards began in 2005 to recognize organizations that prioritize exceptional work experiences for their employees. Companies with 10 or more employees in New Mexico are eligible for nomination, and employees of nominated companies are asked to complete a comprehensive survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. The survey results assess employee satisfaction and engagement at their jobs; the resulting numerical scores determin the ranking of each company.

"We are thrilled to receive the Best Place to Work award, as it reaffirms our commitment to fostering a workplace where our team members thrive," says Anne Haines, DreamSpring President/CEO. "Our mission to support entrepreneurs extends not only to our clients but also to our dedicated staff, who are the driving force behind our success."

DreamSpring's recognition is a testament to its remarkable workplace environment and is the latest in a string of awards the nonprofit has received in 2023. Just prior to its Best Places to Work recognition, DreamSpring was awarded the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency on GuideStar. DreamSpring Founder and President/CEO Anne Haines was also honored in 2023 with the PNM Award for Individual Excellence in Ethical Business Practice, in Honor of John Ackerman, by the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards.
