Washington: Freund Teaching FellowshipEmerging and mid‑career visual artists are invited to apply for the Henry L. and Natalie E. Freund Teaching Fellowship, a semester‑long residency combining teaching and exhibition development. Fellows receive a $45,000 award, on‑campus studio space, full access to Sam Fox School facilities, and present a solo exhibition at the Saint Louis Art Museum as part of its Currents series. Applicants must hold an MFA completed at least five years ago, have professional exhibition experience, and propose a course to teach (no prior teaching required). |
VMFA Aaron Siskind Award for PhotographyThe Virginia Museum of Fine Arts presents two $25,000 unrestricted awards to early- to mid-career photographers who demonstrate artistic vision and a sustained commitment to their craft. Open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents working in still photo-based media. |
New Mexico: Railyard Art Project Call for Proposals
The Railyard Park Conservancy invites artists to propose temporary public art installations for Santa Fe’s Railyard Park + Plaza. Two projects will be selected for the October 2025–June 2026 cycle, each with a $3,000 honorarium. |
Washington: 2026 Galleries in City of Auburn
Artists and artist groups working in two‑dimensional or small three‑dimensional media are invited to exhibit at city-run galleries, including the Cheryl Sallee Gallery and Community & Event Center. $1,000 artist stipend available. |
Washington: 2026 Site-Specific Arts Galleries
Regional artists from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho may apply to display installations in downtown Auburn’s Art on Main and Vault Gallery. A $1,000 stipend is provided for new or site-specific artwork. |
New York: Erie Canal Artist-in-Residence
The Erie Canal Museum and New York State Canal Corporation are seeking two artists for a year-long residency focused on creative work that explores the past, present, and future of the Erie Canal. Selected artists will receive a $10,000 stipend (paid quarterly), plus up to $2,000 for production expenses. Open to artists interested in documentary, conceptual, or visually representational projects centered on critically reflecting canal history, communities, and landscapes. Public engagement, including at least one event during the residency and participation in artist panels, is required. Projects will be featured in a joint exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art in early 2027. |
The Hodder Fellowship
The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers, choreographers, performance artists, visual artists, writers, translators, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts” and are selected more “for promise than for performance.” Hodder Fellows spend an academic year with Princeton, but no formal teaching is involved. A $93,000 stipend is provided for this 10-month appointment as a Visiting Fellow. |
Innovate Grant
This international grant awards two $1,800 prizes each quarter — one to a visual artist and one to a photographer — along with honorable mentions and exposure on ArtDeadline. Open to creatives worldwide working across disciplines including painting, sculpture, mixed media, video, photography, and more. $35 application fee. |
New York: NYSCA/NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur Program
This free 3.5‑day professional development program, held Nov. 6 – 9, supports artists of all disciplines in building sustainable creative practices. Participants receive training in strategic planning, marketing, finance, work sample reviews, peer cohort collaboration, and tools to develop an Artist Action Plan. Offered in partnership with Roxbury Arts Group in Roxbury, NY. Eligible to artists residing within commuting distance of Delaware County, NY; all disciplines and career stages welcome. |

Fulbright Iceland‑Greece Joint Award for Arts & Design
This prestigious Fulbright Scholar Award provides one U.S. artist or designer with a six-month grant to live and work in Greece and Iceland (three months in each country). Open to visual artists, writers, dancers, designers, filmmakers, musicians, and other creatives working in arts and design. Recipients are expected to present or publish work and may mentor or teach during their residency. |
Dedalus Foundation Senior Fellowship in Art History
The Dedalus Foundation offers a prestigious Senior Fellowship for art historians, critics, and curators conducting critical and historical research on twentieth-century painting, sculpture, and allied arts. U.S. citizens who are not currently enrolled in academic programs are eligible to apply. Stipends vary based on project need, up to $30,000. Projects may span up to one year. |
