The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposures, and recognition to artists with unrestricted awards of $15,000 or $25,000 provided to four artists in a different program city each month. This month, artists in San Francisco are invited to apply. Applications are open May 1 – June 1. |
PEN America U.S. Writers Aid InitiativeThe U.S. Writers Aid Initiative offers emergency grants to professional writers in the United States facing urgent financial hardship. Grants support short-term needs resulting from crises (not writing-related expenses) and are awarded quarterly through PEN America's Writers Emergency Fund. Eligible applicants include authors, poets, playwrights, translators, and journalists with a demonstrated professional track record, such as published books, journal contributions, produced plays, or contracted works. |
Doug Pensinger Photography Fund (DPPF)
DPPF supports emerging and early-career sports photographers with fewer than three years of cumulative paid professional experience. Seven photographers will each receive a $5,000 grant for career development and an expenses-paid trip to the annual DPPF Sports Photography Gathering. Up to three additional applicants will be awarded $2,500 Development Grants in recognition of talent and potential in the face of economic, geographic, or cultural barriers. Select grant recipients may also be chosen for a year-long mentorship with DPPF Advisory Board members. |
California: 2025 Berkeley Film Foundation Documentary Grants
Grants ranging from $2,500 to $15,000 are available to student and professional filmmakers in production, post-production, or distribution. Applicants must live or work in Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, or Oakland. A project sample of up to 10 minutes of edited footage is required. |
Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant
Grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 are available to support emerging and established writers covering contemporary visual art. Writers may apply in one of three categories: article, book, or short-form writing. Projects can range from reviews and essays to interdisciplinary criticism and literary experimentation. |
Tulipán Art & Culture Award
Grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 support individual artists in the U.S. who are enriching the Hungarian American cultural landscape. In addition to funding, the award offers opportunities for collaboration, exhibition, and public engagement. |
Creative Business Boost GrantEtsy and Hello Alice have partnered to offer $5,000 grants through the Creative Business Boost Program, supporting entrepreneurs who fuel the creative economy. |
Yéigo Action Grant
Grants between $100 and $1,000 are available for individual Native artists and culture bearers facing an artistic emergency, sudden expense, or professional opportunity. Offered by First Peoples Fund, this monthly grant supports creatives whose work is impacted by hardship — not intended for funding new or ongoing projects. |

Georgia: Larch Creative Fund Grants
The Larch Creative Fund, in partnership with the Spruill Center for the Arts, is offering grants totaling $50,000 to support innovative, arts-based projects that foster creative thinking and community participation. Individual artists, collaborations, and nonprofit organizations in Georgia are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to projects that engage the public, are free and accessible, and are new initiatives.
