We were founded in 1994 in Albuquerque, NM, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. DreamSpring increases access to business credit, makes loans, and provides support to help underserved and under-represented entrepreneurs realize their dreams and be catalysts for positive economic and social change.
Our award-winning organization provides rapid access to capital and educational resources to the most vulnerable small business owners in 27 states, including people of color, women, low- to moderate-income households, people with disabilities, and start-ups.
We believe human potential is unleashed when all people have the opportunity to shape their own future. We exist to break down systemic barriers that inhibit that reality. DreamSpring is proud to serve small businesses as a mission-driven lender and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury.

DreamMaker Benefits and Perks*

Paid Time Off
Full-time DreamMakers can take between 10 and 25 days of Paid Time Off per year, prorated according to tenure.

Paid Holidays
We close our offices for 11 federal holidays per year, which are paid company holidays.

Paid Personal and Wellness Days
Full-time DreamMakers get three personal days and one wellness day each year. We also provide up to 12 annual paid sick days when they or their dependents get sick.

Paid Sabbatical
After seven years of tenure, full-time DreamMakers are eligible for one month of paid sabbatical for their personal education, exploration, and enrichment.

Health Insurance
For full-time DreamMakers, we pay 100% of Individual Employee Health Premiums on our Base Plan. Buy-up medical, dental, and vision plans are also available at an additional cost.

HRA
We offer a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to all full-time DreamMakers enrolled in our employer-sponsored health insurance plan.

Free Life and AD&D Insurance
Full-time DreamMakers are eligible for $50,000 in Life insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, 100% paid for by DreamSpring.

Free LTD Insurance
Full-time DreamMakers are eligible for Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance, paid 100% by DreamSpring.

Voluntary Benefits
DreamMakers have the option of enrolling in additional voluntary plans like Short-Term Disability, Critical Illness, Cancer, and Term Life plans at an additional cost.

Retirement Benefits
Eligible DreamMakers may make pre-tax and/or Roth salary deferral contributions up to SIMPLE IRA limits. DreamSpring makes a matching contribution up to 3% of your compensation for the calendar year.

Flexible Spending & Dependent Care
We offer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Dependent Care Accounts (DCA) to help full-time DreamMakers manage healthcare and childcare expenses.

Free Wellness and EAP Program
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free services for mental health, financial planning, and more, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Hybrid and Remote Positions
Hybrid work schedules may be available for some positions, and remote work opportunities are available outside of New Mexico.

Professional Development
DreamSpring offers professional development activities including training though our ongoing partnerships, external networking, membership opportunities.

Pets at Work
You may see dogs or even a turtle roaming the halls of our pet-friendly office — coordinate with your team to bring yours, too!
