Introducing Regional Impact Committees

At DreamSpring, we believe the best ideas come from the communities we serve — and from the partners who walk alongside entrepreneurs every day. That’s why we’re excited to launch Regional Impact Committees, a new way for community partners, supporters, and local leaders to help shape the future of our work.

These committees are designed to strengthen regional connection, deepen collaboration, and ensure our programs reflect what small businesses actually need, all in real time, and in real communities.

Whether you’re a longtime partner or newly connected to DreamSpring, this is an opportunity to use your skills, give back, and directly influence how capital and support show up in your region. 

 

Why Regional Impact Committees and Why Now?

Small businesses aren’t one-size-fits-all. A business owner in one city might face challenges that look totally different from those in another, and our solutions need to reflect that.

Regional Impact Committees will help us stay grounded in local realities and build programming that matches each community’s strengths and barriers. As we grow, this kind of partner feedback is more important than ever.

DreamSpring is evolving to deliver an even stronger, more responsive experience for entrepreneurs. We’re investing in increased regional staff so entrepreneurs can work with people who truly understand their community and market conditions. We’re also building a more flexible set of financing options to meet entrepreneurs where they are, and we can’t do it without you!

 

Education and Capital Access, for Community by Community 

Regional Impact Committees are part of a bigger shift in microfinance moving away from generic programming. Instead, we’re leaning into a model built around bespoke regional solutions, including:

  • Workshops designed for local needs.
  • In-person events and community convenings.
  • Ongoing engagement tailored to each region’s goals and realities.

Our aim is to create experiences and resources that are specific, relevant, and useful.

 

What Committee Members Will Do 

Regional Impact Committee members will help DreamSpring by:

  • Sharing feedback on local needs, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Helping us understand what’s working — and what’s not — in the market.
  • Identifying emerging trends and urgent challenges for entrepreneurs.
  • Advising on event topics, partnership opportunities, and programming ideas.
  • Strengthening community connection and visibility across the region.

You don’t need to be a lender or financial expert to become a committee member. If you understand your community, care about entrepreneurs, and want to help shape solutions — your voice matters here.
