DreamSpring client Roberta Easter is honoring her ancestors’ sense of purpose with Enchanting Soap Collections. Growing up in Placitas, New Mexico, Roberta’s grandmother taught her traditional techniques for making nourishing soaps with wild-foraged ingredients. Today with daughter and business partner, Chrystal Trykoski, Roberta’s Enchanting Soap Collections provides jobs for women who have been marginalized or justice-involved, or who are on their recovery journey.
A $10,000 pandemic recovery loan from DreamSpring helped Roberta purchase new equipment to scale up her product line. Today, Roberta’s enchanting products have grown to include healing tattoo salves, exfoliating body scrubs, hydrating skin creams, and soothing lip balms — plus a colorful “soap dough” offered through the Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum of Albuquerque that’s perfect for some good, clean fun.
