DreamSpring client Arian Gonzales launched Cervantes Food Products in 1998 to help families much like her own — busy people who want to share convenient, delicious, and healthy meals together. With the help of three generations, Cervantes’ chile-based products celebrate the flavors of New Mexico and are sold in major grocery stores, club warehouses, and online. “What makes me most proud as a small business owner is one to take care of my employees as though they're my own family, and also my customers,” says Arian.
Arian and her husband and business partner, Richard, first came to DreamSpring for a Commercial Real Estate loan when they realized that Cervantes Food Products needed a larger, purpose-built production facility. Then when the pandemic hit, DreamSpring gave them the forgivable $11,839 Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan that kept their five employees on payroll and Cervantes salsas and sauces on families’ tables, when comforting meals mattered more than ever.
