For brothers Joey and Andy Gallardo, fitness and family have always gone hand in hand. After years of working in gyms, they decided to open one of their own, bringing together Joey's experience as a personal trainer and Andy’s management skills. With help from a $15,000 DreamSpring loan, they launched Las Cruces Fitness & Lifestyle in 2004, starting with just two clients. The gym quickly grew, offering personalized training, massage, and nutrition consultations to up to 75 clients. For Joey, owning a business is about building a future for his family. “Everyone has their destiny, and I guess this is mine,” he says. “We have the family together and a sense of pride in what we’re doing.”
