NAIPP Southwest Artists Series Purchase Initiative
New Mexico Arts' Art in Public Places program is purchasing artwork from artists and galleries across the Southwest for permanent placement in publicly accessible buildings throughout New Mexico. Open to artists residing in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas, as well as galleries located in those states. Galleries may submit on behalf of represented artists regardless of the artist's residency. Submit up to three images of completed work currently available for purchase in the $5,000 – $50,000 price range. Artwork selected for the final pool may be considered for purchase on a rolling basis through Dec. 31, 2028. Free to apply through the CaFÉ platform. |

Keshet Makers Space ExperienceKeshet Dance and Center for the Arts invites choreographers and dancemakers from across the country and world to apply for its cohort-based residency in Albuquerque. Each 10-day residency provides rehearsal space, peer movement classes, customized arts business workshops, and housing. Artists may come with a project at any stage — newly germinating ideas, works in development, or productions nearing completion. Texas: Artadia AwardsThe Artadia Awards provide unrestricted financial support and recognition to three visual artists in the Houston area artists with awards of $15,000 or $25,000. Open to visual artists working in any media at any career stage who have lived and worked in Harris County for at least two consecutive years. Artadia's awardee pool is over 50% female and over 40% persons of color. Finalists who are not selected as awardees receive an honorarium for their time and labor. Mesa Refuge Writers’ Residency 2027
Mesa Refuge offers free two-week residencies for writers and activists at a coastal California retreat in Point Reyes Station, about 90 minutes north of San Francisco. Three writers are in residence at a time in a shared house with private bedrooms. The program prioritizes nonfiction books, long-form journalism, documentary film, and podcasts, though all genres are considered. Mesa Refuge particularly welcomes writers whose work addresses nature and climate, economic and racial equity, social justice, immigration, housing, and democracy. There is no residency fee. The $35 application fee may be requested to be waived. Writers are responsible for their own travel and most meals. |
Printed Matter Publisher Work GrantThis grant awards three unrestricted grants of $10,000 each to independent artists' book publishers with an established history of publication. The program supports presses committed to experimental, artist-driven publishing outside mainstream distribution channels — and winners also receive a featured exhibitor presence at an upcoming Printed Matter NY or LA Art Book Fair. Commercially run studios that exclusively publish client work are not eligible, nor are institutional imprints with significant existing support. If your press primarily publishes fiction, poetry, or monographs, check the eligibility FAQ before applying. |

Washington: Artist Trust Fellowship AwardsArtist Trust Fellowships are merit-based awards of $10,000 for practicing professional artists of exceptional talent and ability residing in Washington State. Awards are given to artists of any discipline in recognition of artistic excellence and dedication to their practice. Five additional fellowship awards designate funding for specific communities: Black artists, trans and Indigiqueer artists, Native artists, visual artists, and a general fellowship funded in perpetuity by Greg Kucera and Larry Yocom. Artists who received a Fellowship Award between 2019 and 2026 are not eligible to apply again. Applications are open Oct. 5 – Nov. 2. |

Pedantic Arts Open Call for Residency & Research Grant
Pennsylvania’s Pedantic Arts invites visual artists, curators, and writers to apply for its Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 residency cohorts, as well as its Research Grant. The four-week residency provides free furnished housing in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood, a $2,000 stipend, and a paired local guide to help connect residents with Pittsburgh's creative community. The program is deliberately non-production focused to emphasize connections and conversations over output. The Research Grant offers a one- or two-week independent opportunity for self-motivated Pittsburgh-related research. Applicants must be non-Pittsburgh residents. $20 application fee. |
Rbhu Gives Back Engineering Grant
Rbhu Engineering offers $12,000 worth of pro-bono structural engineering services annually to artists creating large-scale sculptures and installations. One project receives full pro-bono services (up to $6,000); two additional projects each receive 50% discounted services (up to $3,000 each). Any artwork requiring structural engineering is eligible — analysis, construction drawings, and permit documents as needed. Rbhu is licensed in multiple U.S. states and open to projects outside the country as well. Applicants need a completed application and a visual representation of their concept, even a rough sketch. Confidentiality is available upon request. |
Oklahoma: OVAC Grants for Artists
The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition offers four grant types for Oklahoma visual artists, curators, and arts writers on a rolling quarterly basis. Creative Projects grants (up to $1,500) support the creation of new work culminating in a public event. Community/Artist Partnership grants (up to $1,500) fund collaborative projects serving communities. Education Assistance grants (up to $500) cover educational opportunities. Professional Basics grants (up to $500) fund essentials like artwork samples, framing, shipping, or website development. Applicants must be Oklahoma residents for at least 12 months, not currently enrolled in a BFA or MFA program, and may only submit one application per cycle. Artists who received a grant must wait one year before reapplying. |

Moonlighter Film Camp — Post Production
Canada’s Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity's Moonlighter Film Camp is a four-day post-production intensive for filmmakers who identify as women, covering narrative editing, audio mixing, and color correction. On-campus lodging and meals are included. Applicants should have prior filmmaking experience and at least one film screened in a professional environment. Open to international applicants. The $65 CAD application fee ($35 for Indigenous applicants) is non-refundable. After automatic scholarships are applied, the out-of-pocket cost is approximately $657.57 CAD; Canadian Indigenous applicants attend at no cost. Galleries may submit on behalf of represented artists regardless of residency, provided those artists identify as tribal members. Artists and galleries may submit up to three artworks per artist in the $5,000 – $50,000 price range. |
Southern States: Arts in Rural Places
South Arts offers expedited awards up to $3,000 to arts and community organizations in rural, isolated, or small communities across the South Arts region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) for community engagement projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through April 30, 2027. |

On the Move Cultural Mobility Funding Guide
On the Move is a European cultural mobility information network that has published over 60 free funding guides for artists and cultural professionals who want to work internationally. The U.S.-specific guide lists both outgoing opportunities — for U.S.-based artists wanting to travel abroad for touring, residencies, collaborations, and training — and incoming opportunities for international artists traveling to the U.S. All programs listed are regularly occurring, accessible online, and cover at least a portion of international travel costs. The guides also cover residencies, fellowships, and scholarships organized by region and country. |
