Event Recap: Level Up Academy, She Means Business, Powerful Voices

Written by DreamSpring | November 3, 2023

Autumn is officially here — and while temperatures may be falling, DreamSpring events are heating up! We’ve been busy promoting economic equity and small business ownership at a number of events throughout the month.

Good Business Colorado Level Up Academy

Over the course of two days, entrepreneurs in Colorado were able to take part in a hybrid business conference with sessions about the changing legal landscape, effective marketing, and funding. DreamSpring Community Engagement Officers Meghan Rauker and Shaundra Jacobs presented a virtual session on grant writing for business owners to over 20 attendees.

In person in Aurora, Meghan had a blast on Friday volunteering with the Good Business Colorado team and seeing our partners in action. Our congratulations to Small Business Majority, Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute, Energize Colorado, and CEDS Finance!

She Means Business

In honor of Women’s Small Business Month, we joined Small Business Majority and Women’s Economic Ventures for a virtual event celebrating all things entrepreneurship. Throughout this online webinar, industry-leading guest speakers shared invaluable insights and firsthand experiences, while DreamSpring Community Engagement Officer Meghan Rauker connected with entrepreneurs across the country.

Powerful Voices in Denver

We celebrated Latine and Hispanic Heritage Month with the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) at the latest installation of their Powerful Voices event in Denver. Moderated by Yatzi Garcia (CWCC), we heard from Rosemary Rodriguez, civic leader and founder of Cafecito, and Alejandra “Ale” Spray, Community Empowerment Manager for Mortenson, as they shared their personal stories and rise to success.
