New York: 2026 BICA Microgrants   

The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art (BICA) provides $300 "no-strings-attached" grants to artists and curators realizing projects in the greater Buffalo area. Funding supports exhibitions, performances, or other visual arts projects that include at least one public event. To be eligible, the project must take place within three months of the application date.  

Apply by April 1.

 

 

 

PAAM 2026 Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Grant  

Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) offers cash grants ranging from $5,000 to $36,000 to American painters aged 45 or older. The program supports artists who demonstrate financial need and encourages interest in painters who lack adequate recognition. In addition to funding, recipients are featured in an exhibition at PAAM.  

Apply by April 1.

 

 

 

Franklin Furnace FUND for Performance Art  

Franklin Furnace awards grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 to early-career artists to produce major performance art works in New York City. The program supports innovative, site-specific, or multi-disciplinary performances selected through a peer panel review process. Artists from all over the world are eligible to apply, though selected works must be presented within the five boroughs of NYC.   

Apply by April 1.

 

 

Florida: WaveMaker Grants at Locust Projects  

Grants of up to $6,000 support innovative projects in unconventional public spaces, encouraging Miami-based artists to bring new ideas to life across their neighborhoods. Open to visual artists, curators, cultural organizers, collectives, and collaborators in Miami-Dade County. 

Apply by April 1. 

 

 

2027 Creative Capital Award and State of the Art Prize 

Creative Capital seeks proposals from individual artists for unrestricted project grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000. Additionally, the new State of the Art Prize will award $10,000 to one artist from every U.S. state and territory. Funding supports the creation of innovative new work in the visual arts, performing arts, film, and literature. Applicants must have at least five years of professional practice and may not be enrolled in a degree-granting program.  

Apply by April 2. 

 

 

Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) Visual Arts Grants  

AFAC Visual Arts grants support the production and exhibition of painting, sculpture, photography, installations, video and sound art, art publications, and multimedia works. Grants up to $20,000 are available for individuals and teams, or $35,000 for collectives and institutions. 

Apply by April 2. 

 

 

Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) Creative and Critical Writings Grants 

AFAC Creative and Critical Writings grants support critical arts and culture writing, children's and youth literature, graphic novels, short stories, poetry, and digital publishing platforms. The final product must be in Arabic. Grants up to $20,000 are available for individuals and teams, or $35,000 for collectives and institutions.

Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) Performing Arts Grants 

AFAC Performing Arts grants support the production and distribution of theater and dance performances, public and site-specific interventions, performance art, and festivals, along with training and workshops. Grants up to $20,000 are available for individuals and teams, or $35,000 for collectives and institutions.  

Apply by April 2. 

 

 

Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) Documentary Film Grants   

AFAC Documentary Film grants support creative documentary films by directors in the Arab diaspora. Grants are available for up to $10,000 for development, up to $50,000 for production grants for feature-length films, up to $20,000 for short and medium-length documentaries, and up to $25,000 for post-production grants for feature-length films.  

Apply by April 2. 

 

 

2026 Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants     

New York Foundation for the Arts grants of up to $20,000 support environmental art projects led by women, transgender, and gender-nonconforming artists. The program funds work that inspires ethical engagement and addresses environmental issues through various scales, including projects exploring Indigenous and ancestral practices. Applicants must demonstrate a project’s ecological and social impact. 

Apply by April 7. 

 

 

2026 Craft Archive Fellowship     

Center for Craft awards four fellowships of $5,000 to support archival research on underrepresented and nondominant craft histories in the United States. The program prioritizes research into feminist, queer, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian American Pacific Islander communities. Fellows receive a twelve-month grant period to conduct research that will be published as a free online resource in partnership with Hyperallergic.

New Mexico: NM CreativeCon 

NM CreativeCon is a statewide, multi-city celebration of New Mexico’s creative community, taking place March through June 2026. Hosted by the New Mexico Economic Development Department’s Creative Industries Division, CreativeCon brings together creative entrepreneurs, community partners, and support organizations from across the state to connect, learn, and share ideas. $15 tickets (plus processing fee) go back to the NMEDD grant fund to support more creative businesses.

New York: Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists 

This $30,000 grant is distributed over three years to New York City-based visual artists facing housing insecurity. This Woodman Family Foundation grant aims to help artists secure stable, affordable housing so they can focus on their creative practice. Five artists will be awarded in the inaugural cycle.  

Apply by April 14.

 

 

Colorado: Turn Your Art Practice into an Art Business  

Deep Space Drive-In hosts a free professional development workshop featuring creative industry professionals sharing strategies for business transformation. The session, held 6 – 9 p.m., includes a long-form Q&A session and one-on-one coaching opportunities to help artists professionalize their practice. Participants can learn from peers who have successfully transitioned into creative entrepreneurship.

Florida: 2026 Florida CraftArt Emerging Artist Program   

Florida CraftArt provides a professional benefits package valued at over $1,000 to artists at the beginning of their careers in fine craft. Eligible media include ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. Selected artists receive a $250 honorarium, business mentoring, a professional photo session, and a one-year membership. Applicants must be Florida residents who have not previously had a solo exhibition or participated in a juried fine art festival in their chosen medium.  

Apply by April 17. 

 

 

Ohio: 2026 P.R.O.O.F. Fellowship and Residency  

Zygote Press offers a six-month fine art printmaking residency for Northeast Ohio artists from historically underrepresented and BIPOC communities. The program provides non-printmakers with a $500 stipend, professional workshop instruction in techniques like silkscreen and RISO, and full access to studio facilities. The residency culminates in the 2026 PROOF Fellowship Exhibition. 

Apply by April 17.

 

 

South Carolina: 2026 Cultural Districts Grants  

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to current S.C. Cultural Districts for creative placemaking projects like festivals, public art, and workshops. Projects must align with the district’s strategic plan, engage the public, and include non-arts partnerships. A 1:2 matching contribution is required. 

Applications due April 23.

 

 

South Carolina: 2026 Folklife & Traditional Arts Project Grants   

Grants of up to $6,000 are available to S.C. nonprofits and government units to promote and sustain the state's diverse living traditions. Funding supports projects that showcase shared cultural identity rooted in family, tribal, or ethnic connections. A 1:1 matching contribution is required.  

Apply by April 23.

 

 

South Carolina: 2026 Term Arts Education Project Grants 

Grants of up to $15,000 support quality arts education for Preschool (3K-4K) and K-12 students during the 2026-2027 school year. Open to nonprofits, projects must align with state proficiency standards and expand access to visual, performing, or traditional arts. A 1:2 matching contribution is required. .  

Apply by April 23.

 

 

CCA Islands Travel Scholarship 2025 – 2026 

The CCA Islands Travel Scholarship offers emerging artists, curators, architects, designers, and those pursuing careers in contemporary art and culture the opportunity to conduct research and creative activities in Japan. The scholarship provides JPY 200,000 for research expenses and covers one return transportation fare to/from Japan. Recipients must stay in Japan for a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of eight weeks between Sept. 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027, and are required to report the results of their research at the end of their stay. Preference will be given to applicants under 35 years of age.

Harpo Grants for Visual Artists  

The Harpo Foundation supports emerging and under-recognized visual artists through grants that encourage new artistic approaches and expand inclusivity in the field. Grants are awarded based on artistic quality, potential for aesthetic inquiry, and alignment with the foundation’s mission. $15 application fee.  

Apply by April 27.

 

 

PAC NYC The Democracy Cycle 

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) and Galvan Initiatives present The Democracy Cycle, a commissioning program to support new works exploring the themes of democracy. Artists in theater, dance, music, opera, and multi-disciplinary performance are invited to submit proposals. Each awarded project will receive $60,000 in support, including a $30,000 commission and an additional $30,000 for development (research, readings, workshops, etc.).  

Apply by April 28.

 

 

Southern U.S.: 2026 Artist Creative Practice Grants  

Grants of up to $3,000 support career-advancing opportunities are available for professional artists in the South Arts region (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN). Eligible disciplines span performing, visual, media, literary, and traditional arts. Funding covers residencies, apprenticeships, research, and exhibitions to catalyze substantial career growth.   

Apply by April 30.

 

 

2026 O’Shaughnessy Fellowships and Grants 

The O’Shaughnessy Fellowships provide $100,000 equity-free to 10 extraordinary individuals for a one-year period of self-directed work. Additionally, up to 20 grants of $10,000 are awarded to support "Merchants of Light" — trailblazers in fields including the arts and humanities.
